Hitchhiker's Guide to Disaster Mental Health

The mental health implications of any disaster are quite profound, whether the disaster is caused by mother nature, an industrial accident or man made by way of terrorism or bio terrorism. Tony Ng, MD, the former director of the New York City Office of Disaster Mental Health will present his "Hitchhiker's Guide to Disaster Mental Health" September 23, 2005 from 10 AM - 2PM at Rothchild's in Knoxville, TN.

Dr. Ng coordinated the disaster mental health response to the 9/11 attack, other airplane crashes and anthrax disaster. He is the chairman of the American Psychiatric Association committee on disaster mental health. 

Cost is $25 for those registering early by September 16th and INCLUDES LUNCH. Continuing Education credits will be provided to nurses and psychologists and EMTs. PLease call 865-584-9125 with any questions about this program.
